Why Online Yoga Courses are for free?

Currently, the online courses are free of charge thanks to financial support of our sponsors and volunteer work of many yogis and yoginis who have received a training at IOYU.

We believe that learning yoga online should be free because a lot of potential yoga teachers don’t have an opportunity to pay for their education. Especially in those places where the standards of living are low.

On the other hand, making the courses free brings up certain challenges. Sometimes (as we’ve noticed) it might attract random and unserious people who frankly speaking seem to be not quite adequate. As soon as they hear the magic word "freebie", they grab it even if they do not need it, taking away an opportunity from other people. On top, not everyone appreciates and values the knowledge received for free. Thus, we need to find the balance between the two, and we are doing our best to solve this puzzle.

It takes a lot of effort to maintain the courses. It means that other people spend their time, money, and energy creating this gift for humanity, not expecting anything in return. One day you might want to start doing the same, after you realize what a huge potential yoga as a system of discovering your True Self has. One day you might want to start sharing this knowledge with everyone who wants to know.

Yoga knowledge belongs to humanity. It is priceless. It can be given only as a gift to another person similar to how a man gives a flower to his girlfriend. The very fact that she takes the flower makes the man happy. At the same time, it requires a lot of effort and investments to make this knowledge accessible and easy to understand.

If you wish, you may support this project by helping us in many different ways. You can participate in development of the courses as a volunteer, buy our video materials and books, make a donation, or simply spread the word. You can share information about our website www.yogaopenyoga.com on social media using the tag #OpenYoga. The more people find out about the website the easier it will be to maintain and develop it.
